Apologies for the rather girly post but I feel compelled to share with you this simple, natural and super effective home made moisturiser. I have tried my fair share of fancy lotions and potions and skincare brands over the years… La Prairie, Chanel, Dermalogica, Clinique, a rare and exotic snake venom only found in the foothills of the Himalayas…

Ok, so I may have made that last one up but I really have spent absolute fortunes trying and testing a whole bunch of the products out there, each one working as well as the last but none really living up to their (frankly fantastical) sales pitch. I decided to try this after getting a bit fed up of spending upwards of £50 trying to keep my face looking as fresh and (yes I’m going there…) as young as possible!

I must admit I was a little skeptical (as I am with anything that seems too good to be true!), however, a week and a half in and without a hint of hyperbole, my skin has NEVER looked better!

All you will need is;

  • Carrier Oil (I used organic extra virgin coconut oil because it’s what I had in the cupboard, however, I also happen to know that sunflower oil is SUPER high in Vitamin E so if you find a good quality version, it should also work really well.)
  • Vitamin E Oil
  • Essential Oils (I used Bergamot)

Depending on the amount of carrier oil you use, you will only need a few drops of your Vitamin E oil + Essential oils. Mix all the ingredients together and voila! A moisturiser that is as good for your face as it is for your body and all at a fraction of the cost of your usual creams. Also, anything with so few ingredients, all of which I know and can pronounce easily, can only be a good thing in my book!

You’re welcome, you beautiful bunch!
