MY LONDON
From the day we started this little blog of ours, even before that, when it was just an exciting seedling of an idea, one of our (many) goals was to form an interview style series that focused on building and growing a platform full of athletes (of all levels) and fitness professionals who would share their stories and insights about how they live and train in London. How they all really get the best out of the place from a health and wellness perspective. As we all know, for such a densely populated City, London can sometimes feel like one of the loneliest places on Earth so I love the idea of being able to connect like minded individuals through their similar interests and values whilst giving newbies cool tips about how to make the most out of the City they are in, the best spots to eat, train, hangout etc etc.
The point being that while we all have similar values when it comes to health and wellbeing, we are all from a wide variety of sport (and life) backgrounds, we all live in different parts of the City, enjoy different elements of getting (and staying) fit and in turn, each view the City from a totally different perspective to the other. I really hope that as this series grows, there will be a wealth of helpful information and that everyone will be able to get something out of these interviews, whether that’s finding out about a new fitness craze, finding a new gym or studio, a local group to meet up and train with, a healthy spot to have lunch in, just around the corner from their house that they never even knew existed! Or even a connection via this blog or social media that leads to an awesome fit friendship! All of these things will have a positive effect on our lives and our development as athletes, not to mention our enjoyment of the place we live.
