LES D’ARCS
Anna and Jess – the founders started one and a half years ago by initially designing the first scarf for themselves. Since then les D’Arcs has evolved. During Fashion Week Berlin in January 2015 they were able to secure orders from 38 shops throughout Europe. The next step moving forward will be to design a spring/summer collection and step into new markets outside of Germany including the US, UK, Scandinavia and the rest of the EU.
The les D’Arcs tribe is growing.
For these reasons their Crowdfunding Campaign on Kickstarter seemed like the next logical step and is a fitting platform for them as they clearly cherish the community spirit.
We managed to grab a bit of time with Anna and Jess and asked them a couple of quick fire questions about the uber cool, Les D’Arcs.
1 | Who are you?
We are les D’Arcs – a new fashion label from Berlin. We create unique scarves & shawls that are more than just an accessory.
2 | What gave you the idea for this company? What was the drive behind building Les D’Arcs?
The feedback to our first scarf. We initially designed it for ourselves but people’s reactions were amazing – so we dared to envision building a business around our passion for designing.
3 | What makes a Les D’Arcs scarf different to others out there on the market?
Our scarf collection features unconventional closure systems like a leather strap & brass loop as well as secret push buttons.
Most products are made of 2 fabrics: our customized anti-peeling fleece lining creates a cosy feeling while protecting you against the weather. The material mix on the outside ranges from Italian virgin wool, cashmere to heavy knit, leather and metal elements for an elegant roughness.
4 | What are your views on production and the process that entails?
We believe in unisex designs, not the antiquated separation between the sexes. By conviction we strictly produce in the EU and sources premium fabrics from Italy – so you don’t have to sacrifice quality for style.
See how you can help support Les D’Arcs here and get one of these scarves for yourself, or, if you’re feeling super generous, we know they would make awesome Christmas presents! (We wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to keep them all to yourselves though!)
Les D’Arcs have until the 15th December to reach their target and if they do, Anna and Jess have pledged to send out all the scarves on that very same day! Meaning they should arrive just in time for Christmas!
Love the post, thank you so much for your article and support dear Hayley!!
Cheers from team les D’Arcs
