NEW BEGINNINGS
It’s almost 2016! I know this is super annoying to hear but where on earth has this year gone?! I mean, they say time flies when you’re having fun and despite this year having it’s own set of challenges, I have, for the most part, been having fun. My heart and mind became inextricably linked with this amazing human! He arrived out of nowhere, when I least expected it and it is something that I feel ridiculously grateful for, every single day. Even the shitty ones. I have set the ball in motion for a few things that mean a lot to me and that I hope will blossom and grow in the years to come. We have started this little blog of ours which is going from strength to strength. I have started my book, after years of threatening to! I have met some amazing people, who have become proper pals. I have built relationships with brands that I have admired and looked up to for a long while and finally, to top it all off, myself and that amazing human have recently realised another dream that we alluded to back in July in this post. Yep, we have moved South of the river to create our very own live / work situation – a true B R E A K T H E L O O P H Q. Even though we have only hopped across the river I would be lying if I said there weren’t tears about leaving North London, more specifically the people that reside there. Yes, I know I am ridiculously emotional. Yes, I also know that moving across the river is hardly like moving across the country, although it can feel that way to anyone who has lived in London for a while! It was definitely time to try a new living situation though and perfectly timed to welcome in 2016.
So, we have spent the past week doing absolutely nothing (sorry if you’ve tried to get hold of me at any point, I’ll emerge from the bubble real soon, promise) but packing, cleaning, moving, cleaning, unpacking, carrying boxes up – and down stairs, ordering dinner in and consuming copies amounts of wine to keep us sane!
I think the current lifestyle stats would look something like;
The new place still needs a little work but there will be a full home tour very soon, promise! We are in a mad rush to get it looking something like, before family and friends descend for the holiday festivities! I also need to get some proper training in soon else I’ll lose my marbles! Oh, lucky we have Rapha’s Festive 500 just around the corner. Gulp. Anyone else intending to battle through those k’s, all for the badge? (Oh, and the glory, obvs!) Having not been on a bike for longer than I’d care to admit I have a feeling it will be less like fun and more a war of attrition with a gradual sense of humour failure / failure of body parts as the week grinds on!
Yay. 😉
Can’t wait to have some tea in the new pad!
Can’t wait to have you, love! Hope you’re having the trip of a lifetime, it looks absolutely gorgeous! 🙂
