Being resourceful. Aka – Saving a sh** load of money!
Just before we descended into moving house madness, we were lucky enough to be gifted a Vasa Swim Erg by a lovely friend! (I know, right! Dream!) However, there was one glitch… It was missing a vital component. A vital component that, after a quick search on the web, we calculated was going to cost us upwards of £200. Not a crazy amount of money but definitely not something we wanted to be spending right after moving house! So, a bit of measuring and one quick search on eBay later and we had exactly the same component, in size and strength, but for only £25.
Thankfully Dan the-handy-man knew exactly what to do with it to make it all work!
We now have a fully functioning, absolutely awesome vasa trainer to add to our slowly growing gym! I can’t wait till I actually have some energy left at the end of the day, to be able to use it! Ha! I’m right in the thick of Wonder Woman training so it’s been another utterly brilliant but killer day today and my body is definitely telling me that it’s almost the end of the week! I don’t have DOMS as such but I just feel generally dog tired. Hoping for a full 8 hours sleep tonight, maybe 9 if I’m lucky!
Anyway, the point of this post? Just a little reminder to be resourceful in life, shop around before you flash the cash and think outside the box, where possible! Spending over £175 more on this exact item would have for sure left a bad taste in both of our mouths!
