Starting this year off with a collaboration with one of my favourite brands, Adidas is pretty much a goal come true for me and I’m hoping a sign of many, awesome things to come! As part of their Here To Create campaign, they asked ‘What are you here to create in 2017?’
I have absolutely loved this campaign, right from the start and I feel really lucky to be involved, even in a small way. I believe that everyone has a creator inside of them, it’s just that so often our skills and personalities are categorised and put into neat little boxes and that’s that, you’re either right-brained or left-brained and never both. Well, I am here to tell you, we are ALL here to create! Every single day we go out into the world and create our physical realities, hows that for being creative!
2016 was such an amazing whirlwind of a year for me, nothing was planned and everything that happened did so fairly unexpectedly – I couldn’t be more thankful! However, going into 2017 I’m really feeling the need for a plan of action, some super clear, bullet pointed goals and tasks that I can complete and tick off in working towards my bigger, more long-term goals (I’ll talk more about those in another post, perhaps). A huge part of achieving anything, anything worth having at least, is consistency. It’s so unsexy and I know you’re probably sick to death of hearing people bang on about it but consistency really is king.
I’m not a huge fan of ‘New Year, New You’ and all that commercialised nonsense, however I do believe in doing something small every single day that helps to create a better, even more badass version of yourself. It won’t always be a linear journey – hello one step forward and three back, if you keep chipping away though, ultimately you will find success.
“It’s not what we occasionally do that defines and shapes us but what we consistently do.”
So, in 2017 and beyond, I’m here to create a better, more badass version of myself through consistent effort applied to all areas of my life… My relationships with loved ones, myself as an athlete, as a creative, in my role as a writer, content creator and UK based travel and lifestyle blogger.
Hands up, who’s with me?
