Unless you have been living under a rock for the past year or so, you couldn’t fail to have seen the trend for filling your home with gorgeous, rich Moroccan inspired pieces. From cosy pom pom throws, to bright and bold handcrafted rugs, to all things weaved. When paired with my favourite interior aesthetic i.e. white walls combined with lots of plants and natural materials, it’s a trend I can fully get behind and I don’t see it going anywhere soon, either. It’s a look that you can really make your own and it results in a house filled with wonder, charm and a vibrantly happy, adventurous attitude. Whether you love the slightly paired back neutral vibe or you gravitate towards the uber colourful, there is literally something for everyone and even just adding little touches to your existing interior style will freshen your home up no end.
The awesome thing about this particular style is that it looks just as good outside, as it does inside! If you live somewhere blessed with brilliant weather, firstly – I hate you (jk – sort of)… Secondly, take all your Moroccan inspired pieces outside, add some candles, some great food, lots of friends and you instantly have a super stylish backyard picnic.
I have rounded up a few looks that I’m loving, what do you think? Yay or nay?
You could argue that this style is more bohemian than Moroccan (and you’d be right!) but I can definitely see where designer and stylist Annabell Kutucu has taken inspiration, evident in those gorgeous throws.
