I feel so grateful to live somewhere that has such beautiful nature, right on its doorstep… As much as I love the City for all the opportunities and the ease of being able to do pretty much whatever you want at all times (although really, London isn’t anywhere near 24 hrs like NYC is), I just feel so much happier out in the sticks. Being able to walk the dogs every day somewhere other than the streets of Brixton, is something I really don’t take for granted. I grew up in Yorkshire and I think I always knew that someday I’d head back out into the countryside, I definitely thought I’d be older than 31 but everything happens when it’s meant to happen, right?

When Tog24, a company that I’ve known since being a little’un, reached out and asked if I’d like to collaborate, I jumped at the chance. They feel like such a perfect fit for my departure from the bright lights, big City and into the rolling green wilderness… Aka Hertfordshire. Tog24 have just been through a super cool rebrand and I’m over the moon for what is a lovely family owned (and run) company.

For this collaboration I wanted to pick a coat that would see me easily through Winter, the next few Winters actually – don’t get me started on fast fashion! A coat that would be ready for whatever I might throw at it, whether that’s crisp wintery walks with the dogs, a trip to the Alps, hiking in the Lake District… You get the drift. After a bit of browsing, I finally settled on this ski jacket, waterproof, breathable, windproof and it’s simple enough to be something you could wear every day, not just when you’re hitting the slopes.

I hope you’re all having the best weekend and enjoying today’s incredibly Christmassy snow day… We’re pretty much snowed in but we ain’t mad about it, it’s got us feeling all kinds of festive.

Now we just need to find our tree…
